NEW DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM

New English/Spanish Dual Language Academy at Holly Oak

Evergreen School District is now offering a Spanish Dual Language Immersion program for 2021-2022 incoming kindergarten and first grade students at Holly Oak Elementary School. This program will prepare future leaders that are bilingual, biliterate, and socio-culturally competent. Learn more about this program.

What is Dual Language Immersion?

A program that develops bilingualism and biliteracy in English and a second language by integrating students of different language proficiencies.

Second Harvest Food Drive

For nearly 30 years, the families of Evergreen School District have given much needed food to our community through their participation in our annual Second Harvest food drive. Our goal this year is to collect $20,000 which equates to 40,000 meals! Please read the story for more info and consider donating to our virtual food drive now through December 17. Thank you ❤️.

Free Groceries

Second Harvest is offering free groceries beginning November 4 on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 2:30 - 4 p.m. on the campus of O.B. Whaley Elementary School located at 2655 Alvin Avenue, San Jose. This is open to all and no documentation is required. Please plan to bring a wagon or cart to carry your food to your vehicle. And we want you to know that your children have the right to learn and participate in a safe and positive school environment free from bullying.
