Sixth Grade Math Readiness Assessments As we begin to prepare for the start of a new school year, all Evergreen 6th grade students will participate in two mathematics readiness assessments this spring during the May 11 – May 22 testing window. Both diagnostic assessments assess a broad range of skills and help us gauge potential mathematical success in middle school. The results of these assessments will be utilized in conjunction with results received from state assessments for placement in 7th grade mathematics. More importantly, besides a tool for mathematics placement, these diagnostic tests will also assist teachers to determine students' mathematical strengths and challenges and allow them to adjust instruction to increase student success.
